Contract Value: £20,000

Completed: April 2014

Client: BW Interiors Ltd

Description of Overall Project:

The 6 storey 85,000sqft office located opposite Marylebone station was recently refurbished in early 2014. The refurbishment sees the replacement of existing Post-Modern stone bays with the introduction of contemporary Portland stone interventions, whilst forming a new double height entrance volume which runs internally, and increases to triple-height space within the new reception.

Thames Contract undertook the repair and survey of the rear façade curtain walling system. The works included removing all existing cover caps and set aside to be reinstalled, new Schuco tape and new gasket installed before reinstalling the set aside cover cap. All remedial works were then water tested to insure no further water ingress.

Thames contract was also instructed to undertake a full survey of the lower level Curtin walling system, the survey included undertaking a full water test. A full report was then compiled and issued to the client.

All of Thames Contract’s works were carried out during office hours while liaising with the other contractors on site.
